The Von Minden Manor was built Circa 1880 by the German immigrants,Dietrich and Maria Von Minden. In 2015 the house was purchased by a couple that restores historic real estate. They put all of their extensive knowledge and expertise into the makeover. The exterior is Cyprus clapboard, and has been removed by the current owners, insulated with rock wool and then replaced. Priming and painting was done in 2020.The interior has soaring ceilings, the original beadboard paneling, and working transoms, a rare and beautiful find. The plumbing was redone and insulated. Tankless water heaters replaced the old ones. The three and a half bathrooms have been gutted and finished to perfection with period-appropriate tile, clawfoot tub, and sinks. The kitchen is only two years old, but looks like it has always belonged in the Manor. The stove is a bespoke reproduction that uses propane burners and electric oven. The kitchen tile is gorgeous, period accurate, and two antiques serve as a coffee station
